Honestly, we didn’t think it would be this easy, but it’s clear that your next vehicle upgrade will be the new 2023 Hyundai TUCSON. Sure, the two SUVs have similar powertrains, but if you want a model with a touch of refinement, it’s certainly not the Kia Sportage. Only the Hyundai TUCSON offers available leather upholstery for its seating and an optional auto-dimming rearview mirror. The Kia Sportage only has optional X-Line SynTex seating trim on its highest model, and no upgrade to its standard rearview mirror. Backseat passengers in the Kia Sportage also won’t be treated to heated rear seats like those offered in the Hyundai TUCSON, and if you wanted to fold down the second row of the Kia Sportage, you’d have to do so manually. Not so with the Hyundai TUCSON. When you need access to additional cargo room, simply press a button to have the rear seats fold down without assistance. Speaking of remote assistance, the Hyundai TUCSON has an available Remote Smart Parking Assist feature that can park your vehicle as you stand outside the SUV.2 Push the button on your Smart Key again and it’ll just as easily drive out of the parking space.2 There is no similar feature offered by the Kia Sportage.

2Standard on Limited trim. Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA) can remotely help park the vehicle. However, several factors can impact RSPA performance. RSPA may not function correctly if one or more of the parking sensors is damaged, dirty or covered or if weather conditions (heavy rain, snow or fog) interfere with sensor operation. Always inspect the parking area with your own eyes. See Owner’s Manual for further details and limitations.
